And from the overflow of his fullness, we received grace heaped upon more grace!”
John 1:16 TPT
“For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favour and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes, He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).”
2 Corinthians 8:9 AMPC
What is Grace?
⁃ The free and unmerited favour of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
“and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,”
Romans 3:24 AMP
⁃ A divinely given talent or blessing.
“Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed;”
Romans 12:6 AMP
⁃ A period officially allowed for payment of a sum due or for compliance with a law or condition, especially an extended period granted as a special favour.
disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency
Matthew 18:21-25
⁃ Unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification,
a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance
“For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.”
“It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age,”
Titus 2:11-12 AMP
⁃ A virtue coming from God
“But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace!”
Ephesians 2:4-5 TPT
⁃ To confer dignity or honour on
“But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD and HAUGHTY, BUT [continually] GIVES [the gift of] GRACE TO THE HUMBLE [who turn away from self-righteousness].””
James 4:6 AMP
A special favour: PRIVILEGE
• a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.
• It is liberty, freedom or opportunity
• something regarded as a special honour.
: a right or benefit that is given to some people and not to others
• an opportunity that is special and pleasant
exempt (someone) from a liability or obligation to which others are subject.
It's like something you haven't worked for but conferred on you which is what the Bible calls grace
Grace is when you get what you don’t deserve. Mercy is when you don’t get what you do deserve.”
Confession on Grace
I am a partaker of the free and unmerited favour of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings
I enjoy the divinely given talent and blessing that comes from the grace of God
I am a partaker of the special favour, kindness, courtesy, and clemency that comes from Christ Jesus
I am a beneficiary of the unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification,
I live with the virtue that comes from God
For out of His fullness and abundance I have received one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favour upon favour and gift [heaped] upon gift according to John 1:16
I will not take this grace in vain but will be labour to bring others to enjoy the full salvation in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
I will not reduce in grace but will constantly abound in every good work
