How do you serve?

1. With your heart, soul and mind

“Love GOD, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!”

Deuteronomy 6:5 MSG

“never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord;”

Romans 12:11 AMP

2. As unto the Lord

“Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men,”

Ephesians 6:7 AMPC

“Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,”

Colossians 3:23 AMPC

3. With joy

“Serve the LORD with gladness and delight; Come before His presence with joyful singing.”

Psalms 100:2 AMP

4. With love

Gal 5:13

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

5. Selflessly

Phil 2:3-4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.

6. With reference and fear of the Lord

“Serve the Lord with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits with trembling [lest you displease Him].”

Psalm 2:11 AMPC

7. Faithfully

1 Sam 12:24

Be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

8. Willingly

“Tend (nurture, guard, guide, and fold) the flock of God that is [your responsibility], not by coercion or constraint, but willingly; not dishonorably motivated by the advantages and profits [belonging to the office], but eagerly and cheerfully;”

1 Peter 5:2 AMPC
